I first heard johnsmith sing years ago at the International Folk Alliance Conference. I was drawn in by his gentle voice and his thoughtful and honest songs. I am thrilled to share his music with you all.
His songs deliver a sensitive account of his keenly observed life and journey. He reflects upon and celebrates the mystery of that journey with fierce truth, great tenderness, and true grace.
His name may be common, but his music certainly is not.
