Jonathan Byrd doesn’t sing songs; he sings truth."
Performing Songwriter Magazine
What a treat to hear someone so deeply rooted in tradition, yet growing in his own beautiful way."

Here is the Music Player. You need to installl flash player to show this cool thing!
The more I learn about Jonathan Byrd the more I love him.
I was first introduced to his music by Don Porterfield, who made me sit in his car to listen because he knew how much I would love Jonathan’s music.
The first song I heard was Tape Full of Lovesongs, and it is the first one I will put in the player. It is probably the best example of the rewards and surprises you find in a Jonathan Byrd song.
You know how when you listen to a good storyteller or a good joke teller, you hang on every word because you know the payoff is gonna be great? That’s how it is when you listen to Jonathan. The entire audience is always hushed because they don’t want to miss a single word.
NEWS from JByrd…..Cackalack, his brand new CD is #25 on The Americana Music Chart and #2 on the Roots Music Folk Chart!! I’ve included a song from this new CD called Father’s Day.
Enjoy!
